Comprehensive Eye Examinations

During a comprehensive examination, the doctor determines the patient’s glasses prescription and evaluates the patient’s general ocular health.

  • Myopia (nearsighted)

  • Hyperopia (farsighted)

  • Presbyopia (age-related loss of near vision)

  • Astigmatism

  • Amblyopia

  • Accommodation issues

  • Diplopia related to eye misalignment

Ocular Medical Examinations

During a ocular medical examination, the doctor will evaluate the patient for various types of diseases or conditions related to the eye. Sometimes this also includes checking a glasses prescription.

Conditions include but are not limited to:

  • Macular degeneration

  • Cataracts

  • Glaucoma

  • Retinal detachments

  • Dry Eye

  • Floaters

  • Flashes
